KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling: Self-Paced Edition

Bullet Journaling for the Messy and Inspired

"I was always making to do lists and project plans in notebooks, but they never lasted long. This course has given me the structure to make a journal a part of my everyday life, and to make everyday tasks feel more achievable and compatible with the more creative side of life.."

- Student Feedback from the September - October 2020 KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling Course

Fall in love with bullet journaling as a creative and supportive tool for managing daily life in this five-part course from artist and maker, Felicity (Felix) Ford.

This five-part course leads you through a sequence of tasks designed to help you develop a personal, anti-perfectionist and playful journaling practice. Bullet points help you keep track of your plans but this organisational focus is explored within a wider framework of kindness and creative generosity. Felix’s course makes journaling fun; includes zero pressure; can be fit in around your schedule; and is equally suitable whether you’re new to the concept of bullet journaling or a seasoned practitioner looking to refresh and revitalise your approach.

KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling has grown out of Felix's art practice; her focus on celebrating daily life; and her genuine passion for using a bullet journal, fostered over the last five years.

Chronicling her knitting projects, favourite recipes, important life milestones, shopping lists and artworks, her inventive use of these books has supported the production of two published books; the slow expansion of a tiny one-woman business; and the completion of several artistic commissions. Creative uses of her bullet journal have also supported Felix through some serious health setbacks.

Incorporating all these elements and using her own life as a case-study, Felix models bullet journaling as a tool for uplift and problem-solving, openly sharing, with you, everything she has learned through creative bullet journaling.Messy, permissive and enabling, KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling is designed to support you in a number of different areas of life but, as you'd expect, there is a large focus on knitting, self-care and creativity.

Sign up today to explore journaling practices to keep you organised and inspired; to explore mixing up your everyday life with your creativity; and to learn together with others in a carefully held online environment.

"I want to say a massive thanks for creating and offering this course. I'm so grateful and honoured to have been a part of the first cohort! It was a bright shiny spot in the midst of a changing upside-down topsy turvy time. My Bullet journal provides me with so much Joy. I feel quite youthful playing with my - growing - collection of special wooden stamps and stickers, and rainbow of colouring pencils. It also has brought a sense of control and intentionality into my life. For the past few days I've been playing with the thought in my mind, what do I want my June to look like? Of course we can't predict what may come to pass, but having the intention to introduce more movement, creativity and connection into my life is the starting place. And actively pursing those things starts with the simple, hopeful act of creating lists and writing them down."

Felicity (Felix) Ford is a practicing artist and creative instructor. She primarily works with knitting and sound - hence KNITSONIK.

Her work is mostly focused on uplifting and celebrating daily life through creative practice. From her work on soundart commissions for museums like The Wellcome Library and the Charles Dickens Museum, to her self-published knitting books on translating everyday life into stranded colourwork, all Felix's work is, at its heart, about loving - and creatively engaging with - our real, everyday lives.

Felix has taught in many different places including the Ediburgh Yarn Festival; Shetland Wool Week; at the Tuned City Soundart Festival; and as an undergraduate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University during and following her doctoral research there. She loves teaching and the rich exchange of ideas inherent to the process.

Whether writing, knitting or recording sounds, her focus is always on celebrating the textures of daily life and on helping others find ways to do the same.
